Polyamide Thermal Break
All our systems are designed with performance, looks and efficiency in mind, with each frame incorporating a ‘ polyamide thermal-break’. This effectively insulates our doors and windows against heat loss, raising a home’s internal temperature and helping to reduce the risk of condensation.
Maintenance for aluminium is simple and straightforward, with a routine ‘wipe-clean’ all that is required to keep the products looking their best. With no requirement for re-painting or re-varnishing, aluminium windows and doors rarely fade, deteriorate or rust, even in harsh environments, such as coastal locations and there are over 200 colours to choose from.
When considering French Doors, you can choose for the doors to open inwards or outwards and you also need to decide which door will be the main door.
You want to be sure if you are changing your doors that they are secure. All our locks conform to PAS 24. Pas 24 became effective on 28th January 2016 and is a method for testing and assessing the performance of doorsets and windows of all material types. The standard covers composite, sliding and bi-folding doors. The locks have been subjected to an attack to test that ensure that they met the standards.
Your project may also need to met a “U-Value” The lower the U-value the more effective a material is as a heat insulator. It is a measure of the transfer of heat through a material. You can read more energy efficiency here. You can also find out more about the glass and glazing that we use. We are a member of the Planitherm Network.
We employ our own fitters, so you can rest assured that the quality of installation is as good as the product you are purchasing. We can work with you or your builder on the timing of installation. Our doors will be installed on site, covered with protection tape. You can choose to leave this in place if you are having further buildings works done, to protect the doors from knocks and scratches.
